Our Beliefs and Values
In this section, we do not have to rewrite or reinvent the wheel. On this page, we link to our denominational affirmations detailed on the website of the Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRC). As a group of Christian Reformed pastors and spouses, we adhere to the following:
Finally, as a ministry support group, we want to be guided by the following principles (excerpt from AAPM Proposal for a CRC Asian Ministry Program, page 16):
- Accountability: we want to exercise transparency and uphold full ecclesiastical, doctrinal, administrative, and fiscal accountability within the CRC
- Collaboration: we exist to complement and strengthen, not duplicate nor differ from existing denominational efforts, and when necessary, advocate for more appropriate ways of ministry among the Asian CRCs
- Transitional process: we intend to connect, strengthen, engage, and sustain more healthy Asian CRCs to the point when they would have fully integrated with the denomination
- Sustainability: we will adapt and sustain culturally-effective ministry support activities and networks fully integrated within the CRC to the point when a group like AAPM would no longer be needed
Didn't I tell you we're serious about who we are and what we want to do? Of course, we will not be able to do all these without God helping and humbling us each step of the way. And thank God we exist within a denomination called the Christian Reformed Church! That says it all!
